Old Haunts On The Horizon Pink/Blue...

  • 1

Formed in 2001 by childhood friends Matt Mckinney and Ben Early, Seattle, WA's The Hollowpoints combine elements of punk and rock and roll reminiscent of The Clash, One Man army, and Swingin Utters. They have been pushing their hook based sing alongs both domestically and abroad through constant touring, racking up ten releases in the past five years. Their forthcoming album, and SGR debut, Old Haunts On The Horizon combines textbook Hollowpoints songwriting with a more personal feel and subject matter. The album was recorded at Hyde street Studios in San Francisco and Orbit Audio in Seattle and represents the first shot at production by the band's primary songwriters, McKinney and Early.

"Seattle trio THE HOLLOWPOINTS played punk that leaned to the hardcore side of the style's sound upon their formation in 2002. Vocalist/Guitarist Matty Mckinney, bassist Benny Early, and drummer Dan Colley issued the early 2004 ANNIHILATION EP through Dirtnap before hooking up with Duane Peters (of US Bombs and Die Hunns fame) and his Disaster Imprint for their 2005 album The BLACK SPOT. The Album's somber Lyrics expressed dissatisfaction with the sociopolitical climate of the United States and portrayed the troubled lives of young people with little hope for the future. Over time, THE HOLLOWPOINTS shared stages with acts like The Briefs, Angel City Outcasts, GBH, and Toxic Narcotic, and after adding second guitarist Will McCarthy in January 2006 (formerly of northwest metal punks Axes Of Evil) They later Joined The US Bombs for a complete nationwide tour"
